About Sankalp Foundation
Not a distant charity, but people from your own city — who decided that caring shouldn't wait for someone else to start.
Our Story
In 2026, in the heart of Silchar, a small group of friends sat together with one uncomfortable question: if not us, then who?
They had no office, no funding and no grand plan — only a shared sankalp, a resolve, to do something real for the Barak Valley. That winter, they bought what blankets they could afford and walked them, street by street, to the families who needed them most.
That single drive became a movement. Today, Sankalp Foundation is a growing circle of volunteers who give their time, skills and hearts — proof that you don't need to be extraordinary to do extraordinary good.
Who We Are
A lawyer, a schoolteacher, a police officer, a shop owner, an IT engineer — by day we lead very different lives. By heart, we share one purpose. That diversity is our greatest strength: every skill, every perspective, every connection becomes a way to help.
A lawyer stands up for families who have no one to speak for them. A teacher gives a child the future their circumstances tried to deny. A police officer becomes a protector far beyond the uniform. A business owner turns resources into relief that reaches the doorstep. A healthcare worker brings care to those who could never go looking for it. And an IT professional carries our work further than our footsteps ever could. Different hands — one resolve.
What Drives Us
To uplift the underserved of the Barak Valley through direct, dignified action — warmth, relief, education and care — powered entirely by community volunteers.
A Silchar where no one is left behind — where compassion is ordinary, and every person has the dignity, support and opportunity to build a better tomorrow.
Dignity first. Total transparency. People over paperwork. And the simple conviction that small acts, done with heart, add up to real change.
Whoever you are, whatever you do — there's a place for you in Sankalp.
